A new CD DREVORED is out.

Allan Taylor invited me to his 65th Birthday Bash Concert in Wengen, Switzerland where we(among others) performed the song from my new CD Drevored-Let The Music Flow.

I visited the University in Vilnius (Lithuania) where I was reading and performing to the students of Slovene.

April 2010

My book of poems in Bosnian, UMJESTO KOGA RUŽA CVIJETA, came out in Sarajevo, Bosnia.

March 2010

I acted in “Three Other Sisters” at the Theatre Gigante-Milwaukee. I also performed in Cleveland , New York at St Cyril’s Church, and Washington DC at the Busboys and Poets Club and at the Slovene Embassy.

November 2009

My book of poems, POJEZIJE, came out.

October 2009

I was selected, along with a group of writers and poets, by the Slovene Ministry of Culture to tour Poland and the Ukraine as an ambassador of Slovene culture, doing poetry readings as a pan-Slavic bridge-building effort.

April 2009

WALK ON THE WILD SIDE was an All-Star Tribute to Lou Reed & The Velvet Underground. This took place in Vienna with Chris Eckman, Steve Wynn, Chris Cacavas, Ernst Molner, Eleni Mandell and me performing.

I had a short tour in the USA, performing for Slovene immigrants in Cleveland and Chicago, at the Busboys and Poets Club in Washington DC and at the Slovene Embassy(in Washington) for Tulane University- New Orleans. I was also a guest at Yale University where they awarded me the honorary title of Quincy Porter Fellow. And I got to spend some time with my friend Steve Wynn in New York.

November 2008

I got to meet the famous and long admired Dutch guitarist Jan Akerman when he came this month to Ljubljana. I first saw him at the Reading Festival in England in 1972, where he was hit by electricity during his performance onstage.

I performed with The Dubliners when they came to Ljubljana.

August 2008

My old friend Hans Theessink, who recorded “Bourgeois Blues” with me back in “the 90s” invited me for a blues festival in Austria.

In April he celebrated his 60-th Birthday with a grand concert in Wienna.I was lucky to perform with him, with Jack Clement, Donovan, Dubliners, Allan Taylor, Terry Evans…

Vlado and Mali bogovi opened for Bob Dylan in Varaždin, Croatia.

Album "Cesta" is released. It has gained the highest praise by the press as well as by audience in Slovenia and in ex countries of Yugoslavia. It turns him back to a more quiet, acoustic sound with a couple beautiful duets, and two songs in Italian and one in Croatian language.

Vlado releases a book of poems. VENCI -- The Story of The Beltinška banda,recalls the time he spent with the legendary folk musicians, with whom he performed for fifteen years and released several albums. The book also contains a glossary of the dialect of the Prekmurje region and a DVD.

Vlado appeared with Croatian jazz group Jazzy blef, with Slovenian ethno group Katalena, with Gal in Galeristi, with Neisha and recorded with Slovenian band from Austria - Bališ.

Double LIVE CD and DVD - »KONCERT« came out. It contains four hours of music.

Vlado acted in a French movie Slavic Angel in Paris.

With a new album Generacija, Vlado celebrated his 50th Birthday. The conceptual album deals with the last 50 years of our time and its multimedia track shows some historical moments of Slovene (Yugoslav) history, such as speeches by Tito, the first Slovene movie and Vlado's collaboration with the hot Slovene band Siddharta.

It received the best possible critical reviews in Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia.

On a beautiful Adriatic island, Brioni, music was prepared for an album of Rade Šerbedžija. Vlado was there as an author and performer.

Vlado was touring Croatian coast with Dubliners' singer Sean Cannon.

December 5th 2000

Vlado appeared on the hystoric concert in Sarajevo. For the first time after the war Sarajevo hosted on the same stage, famous Serbian author Djordje Balašević, Croatian Oliver Dragojevič, Bosnian Kemal Monteno , Sarajevo rock group Indexi, world famous jazz trumpet player Duško Gojkovič and a Slovenian Vlado Kreslin. They appeared in front of 12.000 people in Zetra Hall. Live album is coming out soon.

Two sold out concerts in Cankarjev dom (National Concert hall) were beautiful. Songs from the new album Ptič have been performed for the first time.

Vlado's new album, ''Ptič'' (The Bird), is coming out. This promises to be a rich mix of popular and ethnic music. It includes the legendary Irish Andy Irvine on bousouki. Rave reviews call this Vlado's most mature album.

Vlado has returned from Australia where he toured with the band.
They played folk clubs (Kulcha- Freemantle, Nexus-Adelaide) and were the headliners at the huge Victor Harbor festival. One of their performances was broadcast worldwide on the internet.

Vlado attended festival Bardentreffen in Nurnberg , performing with Sean and James Cannon, Pat Cooksey, and Vlado's old friend, Allan Taylor.
A few days later they all played Solina International Ethno festival in Croatia.

Hans Theessink invited Vlado to Donauinsel festival, where they shared the stage with Donovan and Arlo Gutrie.

The American group The Walkabouts have recorded their own version of a song written by Vlado and Miro Tomassini. The song "That Black Guitar" (Tista črna kitara) can be heard on the Walkabouts' new album, ''The Train Leaves At Eight''.
